And seeing as birthdays are the perfect time to reminisce about times gone by, we want to share our top 8 moments from the last 8 years, the ones that have defined the Oh La La! Macarons and turned it into what it is today.
8. 2013 - The launch that saw the world’s first macaron and martini making workshops
Cue Meredith in her tiny apartment baking macaron after macaron to the judge of her very patient housemate. This is how Oh La La! Macarons was born. One woman, one idea and a ton of determination to make it work.
7. 2014 - Oh La La! Macarons are featured in the Wall Street Journal.
When the WSJ feature you as Manolo Blahnik’s macaron maker, you know you’re onto something.
6. 2016 - Anyone for a dishwasher shaped macaron?
If anyone thinks dishwasher companies can’t be creative, they’re wrong. 2016 saw our an immersive experience spearheaded by Whirlpool where people would eat our dishwasher shaped macarons in an oversized dishwasherl. This was a key moment in cementing Oh La La! Macarons as a partner for creative and innovative brands.
5. 2018 - Tampon Macarons make a splash
Here at Oh La La! Macarons, we’re not afraid to make a statement which is exactly what we did back in 2018 with our bloody tampon shaped macarons to help raise funds for Bloody Good Period.
4. 2019 Oh La La! Macarons featured on GREAT campaign
If you want to know who the best of the best in the British creative industries are, you only have to look to the GREAT campaign. In 2019, it was our turn to be featured here as an example of British creativity in food.
3. 2020 A Marc Jacobs collaboration
We can’t lie, we were big fans of Marc Jacobs and designing bespoke macarons for their Daisy perfume was like a dream come true.
2. 2020 - Bringing veganism to macarons in partnership with Kitchen Aid
Macarons are not traditionally vegan but we wanted to change that. Enter our partnership with Kitchen Aid where we created a vegan macaron workshop, hosted at their show kitchen.
1. 2021 - Meet the new HQ
The pandemic gave us a chance to regroup and expand with a new website which gave our customers the chance to “build a box” of our macarons. Even better, we moved into our brand spanking new HQ.
It’s here in Kirby Street, London that we have a fantastic new kitchen, host macaron and martini parties and make you part of the Oh La La! world.
