Did somebody say cocktails? Oh yes, you heard right. The cocktail bars are calling our name – but with so much choice across the bustling city of London, which one to choose? After all, it’s the experience we’re after, not just a delicious tipple.
So, if you’re looking for a creative cocktail bar in London, we’ve got your back with our top nine ultra-quirky and uber-cool cocktail bars around our favourite city…
Solas at The Savoy
The Savoy recently unveiled its 1920’s inspired cocktail pop-up bar ‘Solas’ designed by our very own Meredith O’Shaughnessy – an epic collaboration between the world-class Savoy and Bowmore whisky. From the raw granite bar front inlaid with 24 carat gold leaf, to the 162 crystal decanters that hang from the bespoke chandelier, this is an experience not to be missed.
But be quick, it’s only open until 21 June 2021.

The Macallan Manor House at Rosewood London
Want more from the legendary Meredith Collective? Head to the Highlands with this serene Scottish retreat at the Macallan Manor House. Inspired by the mossy hills of Speyside and the new Macallan distillery, an unparalleled al fresco dining experience with refreshing cocktails awaits at this gorgeous covered terrace.
Grab a tartan blanket for those cooler days, or bask in the sunshine amongst lush greenery on those hot summer days where sipping cocktails is an absolute must.

The Coral Room
Set in the heart of Bloomsbury, The Coral Room is a bar like no other. Created by Martin Brudnizki and Luke Edward Hall and inspired by the 1920’s, this vibrant bar is a step back in time with a cocktail menu to boot.
Think coral-coloured walls, parquet flooring, Murano glass chandeliers, and a marble-topped bar, along with bespoke illustrations adorning the walls. A classy spot to don a Royal title for a few hours and leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind.

Nine Lives
Hidden away down a quiet unassuming street close to London Bridge station, enter the beautiful jungle of Nine Lives cocktail bar. Warm light and hanging plants meet pumping seventies funk and soul music. Be prepared to make this your new hangout and corporate escape.
Even better, the cocktail menu is designed by Sweet & Chilli, owners of the bar who also happen to be one of the world’s leading drinks agencies. What more could you ask for?

Experimental Cocktail Club
A true hidden gem unless you know exactly where it is – behind a battered front door in Chinatown which opens up into a brilliant little watering hole across three-floors. French staff and expertly crafted cocktails, along with brick and mirrored wall décor. Once you’ve shut the door, there’s nothing but stylish and elegant vibes.
Perhaps if you’re on the budget, it’s not the place to spend a full evening, with cocktails priced at an eye-watering £15. But for those wanting an authentic speakeasy experience with intimate surroundings, you’d be hard-pressed to find anywhere better.
Where: 13a Gerrard Street, Soho, W1D 5PS.
Ladies & Gentlemen
Now if you’re looking for the ultimate in creativity, you’ve found it at Ladies and Gentlemen – housed in a former underground toilet block! Luckily, it no longer resembles (or smells) like its former home and has instead been transformed into a popular cocktail lounge with moodily lit small tables and jazz music coming from the speakers.
Count on the friendly table service and local ingredients that make up the unique cocktail menu, with their own spirits distilled on site.
